  1. Hop Bulk Buy

    In partnership with Chilliwack Hops, True Grist is running it's second annual hop bulk buy. These are 2017 pellet hops packaged and sold by the lb in nitrogen flushed mylar packaging. Over 60 hop varieties are available. Must be a 2018 Full Member to participate. To place an order, visit our bulk buy area.

  2. Big Brew Day With SFBC

    Join your fellow True Grist members in the camaraderie of brewing together in celebration of National Homebrew day. Brewing starts at 9AM, and must be wrapped up by 3PM. We're hoping to have a diverse set of breweries and brewing methods on show for members of the public. We'll have a barbecue and bottle share for our brewers as part of this event. Capacity is limited, so please let us know as soon as possible if you can attend with your brewery. Hang around after for the results of the Short Finger x Together We're bitter TBN homebrew competition.

  3. Field trip to Escarpment Labs

    Join us as we tour the growing facilities of our favourite yeast producer, Escarpment Labs. Ask the Escarpment Labs team your burning questions about Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus (and more?) in brewing, and learn more about where your brewing cultures come from. This facility tour and Q&A will be coupled with a yeast buy. This event is limited to our 2018 Full Members. Please RSVP on the event page!

  4. Because Beer Festival Competition Deadline

    Registration is now open for the Because Beer Festival competition. The Because Beer festival itself is in Hamilton from July 13-15, but competition judging is June 4-10. This is part of the Brewer of the Year circuit, so every category is open, including cider and mead. Entry drop off window is May 14-25, and Jamie will be making a delivery run for club entries; please plan to have your entries ready and dropped off (May club meeting or SFBC, details to follow) by May 20.
