Field Trip to Tavistock Hop Co.

We are invited to visit the local hop farm Tavistock Hop Co. Kyle and Jeremy presented at our last meeting about their farm (find their presentation here). This is a great opportunity to learn more about where your local hops come from, how they are grown, and harvested. This farm visit is also coupled with a hop buy – pellets and wet.

Activity: Visit Tavistock Hop Co.; Walk around the hop yards and watch the harvesting process (bring earplugs if you want to go into the shop); Buy local hops – pellets and wet hops
! Please make sure that you don’t touch any of their equipment !

Hops:
Dry: Rakau, Cascade, Glacier, Centennial, Newport (4oz for $5)
Wet: Glacier or Newport, maybe Cascade (1lb for $10)

What to bring: Cheque or cash
