Tavistock Hops Visit
Tour, QA, and opportunity to buy some freshly picked wet hops (likely fresh Glacier will be available on Saturday). There will also be the following 2018 pelletized hops available: Rakau, Cascade, Glacier, Centennial, Heritage, Newport. We are meeting up at Tavistock for 11:30AM, which is when they start to wrap up their harvesting for the day. A number of our members are coordinating carpooling on our forum. Sensory Training: Session I
We are running Sensory Training at Rhythm and Brews. Each session will cover 6 common beer compounds. Those with a BJCP ID will qualify for 0.5 non-judging points per session attended. CHA speaker series: Marie-Annick Scott
For those with membership in the Canadian Homebrewers Association, there will be an online presentation given by Marie-Annick Scott on Feb 29. "Marie-Annick Scott is a cranky old woman who knows too much about beer. She currently runs the yegbierfrau.ca website and serves as the education director of the Edmonton Homebrewers Guild. She also studies Brewing Science with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in London."

Kveik Lager Talk
SFBC and Reverence Barrelworks are releasing their collab "Pilzish", a pilsner-style beer brewed with Horindal Kveik, and will be giving an educational talk on brewing lager-style kveik beers. The talk will be lead by Matt of Reverence Barrelworks.
