We will be acquiring an SOP for this event so members can share their homebrew with eachother. We ask that when sharing, avoid having bottles come in contact with the glassware being poured into to reduce risks. We will supply disposable cups. You can also bring your own glass or buy one from the brewery….

February signalled our return to Rhythm & Brews. As always our host was serving up a plethora of delicious brews. Including Mike H’s winning 2018 True Brewer, Do the Smokey Pokey.

Sensory Training: Session 2

We are running Sensory Training at Rhythm and Brews. Each session will cover 6 common beer compounds. Those with a BJCP ID will qualify for 0.5 non-judging points per session attended. True Brewer 2018 was the club’s first foray into running a BJCP sanctioned competition. This competition was coupled with a homebrew holiday swap.

Our monthly meeting was once again hosted by our friends at Rhythm and Brews in Cambridge. At this meeting we had an excellent guest presentation from Renée Navarro about diversity in homebrewing, and what we can do as a club and as individuals to encourage diversity in our hobby. Thank you Renée!

June 2018 Meeting, Internal club competition with Wellington Brewery

The club returned to Rhythm and Brews in Cambridge on June 13th for our monthly meeting. This was our first visit since Rhythm and Brews had their soft opening in May, and members were glad to finally be able to order a pint from the tap rom and take some bottles home from the brewery that has supported us so much in 2018.

This month, we travelled back to Rhythm and Brews brewing co. They are hard at work getting the brewery ready to open. Andrew gave us a run-down on his crazy three brews per day brewing schedule. Their space is looking awesome!
