Last year, I missed out on our visit to Tavistock during the harvest season, So I was pretty excited that I was able to go this time around. Since Tavistock is just half an hour drive west of Waterloo and the weather was cooperative, I decided to accept the challenge and ride my bike to the hop yard.

Spring 2019 the club ran a hop bulk buy with Topp’s hops. We brought in approximately 200lbs, which were organized and distributed from Short Finger Brewing Company

Field Trip to Tavistock Hop Co.

We are invited to visit the local hop farm Tavistock Hop Co. This is a great opportunity to learn more about where your local hops come from, how they are grown, and harvested. This farm visit is also coupled with a hop buy – pellets and wet.
